In this paper, the application status and development of superalloy in the above fields are briefly introduced.

Superalloys are widely used in the field of energy.

In the high parameter ultra-supercritical power boiler for coal power generation, superheater and resuperheater must use superalloy pipes with good creep resistance, excellent oxidation resistance on the steam side and excellent corrosion resistance on the flue gas side; In gas-electric gas turbines, the turbine blades and guide blades need to use hot corrosion resistant superalloys with excellent high temperature corrosion resistance and long-term structure stability. In the field of nuclear power, the heat transfer tube of steam generator must select the superalloy with good solution corrosion resistance; In the field of coal gasification and energy conservation and emission reduction, high temperature corrosion resistance and high temperature abrasion resistance superalloy are widely used; In the exploitation of oil and natural gas, especially in the deep well exploitation, the drilling tool is in the acidic environment of 4-150 ℃, together with the presence of CO_2,H_2S and sediment, corrosion and wear resistant superalloy must be used.

Applications of tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum and niobium superalloys

Tungsten, Molybdenum, Tantalum & Niobium superalloys are utilized in the Power Generation industry in turbine blade applications(6AL4V).
In addition, Tungsten, Molybdenum, Tantalum & Niobium super alloys tubing is used on a large scale in condenser and auxillary heat exchanger applications in power plants due to its corrosion resistance and its unlimited life span.
